OMFG! I have laughed so hard that I very almost leaked a bit of wee into my pantaloons!
My Nan was a great knitter in her day- the onset of carpal tunnel put paid to that- sadly! Oh how I long for the days when I would be presented with an aran cardi that was too big so I could 'grow into it'. No chance of that now with my three bellies and lard arse! Thanks so much for the trip down memory lane *skips away happily*

Hi Alison,

Well I saw you on telly, (and you told that story - it's amazing what some people would pay!) and I joined Word Press - all in all a good day.
Can I say this on here, I remember hearing your first song 'Only You' and fell in love with the voice - I wasn't sure if you were a boy or a girl when I first heard you, and if you were a boy I think I would have fell head over heels in love with you - but anyway I loved the group Yazoo - those were the days! I think your great and ageless too.

In this, i'm recalling beloved great grandma knitting forever-round doilies to everything. If your couch didn't have them on the arm rests, there'd be a set for Christmas. All family members at one time or another had doilies coming out of ears, ahh - fond memories. An invauable item still in use is my 15th birthday bed cover, now bedfooted by one k9, one feline. Gran's performing somersaults in her mantle canister. I guess I was lucky/unlucky enough to not have one of those relatives who would knit clothing hahahaaa.
.Just everything else.

When flying, I love reading Skymall magazine - fantasy purchase, fantasy items, with fantasy prices. Does anyone actually buy anything from it? Hrmmm.

My 87 year old Mum crochets and would gladly make your daughter a sweater. In fact I can crochet, too.

You could also probably get a good knock off sweater at Walmart or whatever counterpart of Walmart you have, or at the mall.

The designer prices of clothes for skinny people is indeed ridiculous. Who really pays that much for those things? I suppose Paris Hilton and the ilk but real people? I know I can't afford it!
